Hiking
Movement is Good for the Soul!
Dorf Tirol is shaped by stunning natural beauty – from the valley floor up to the middle mountain terrace of Küchelberg, leading to Mutspitz, the Spronser Lakes, and the summit of Tschigats at 3,003 meters. The Texel Group Nature Park – the largest of all South Tyrol’s nature parks – is one of the most beautiful landscapes in the region. With 70 km of well-marked trails, it invites you to explore. The Meran High Trail, nearly 100 km in length, takes you all around the Texel Group. Notable features of the area include the nine Spronser Lakes, the largest high-altitude lake group in South Tyrol.
Themed Trails
Easy hikes in Dorf Tirol that provide information on topics like wine, apples, culture, and water.
Waalwege
"Waalwege" refers to irrigation channels created by humans that carry water from the mountains to dry meadows. Nowadays, these channels are not only functional but have also become popular hiking paths.
There are many different hikes with or without assistance (cable cars, buses, trains) in the surrounding area. Mountain tours in the Texel Group Nature Park include a stunning circular trail around the park, which spans around 80 km over approximately 6-7 days. A highlight of this hike are the Spronser Lakes.
