In December 2006, Georg and Barbara met at a ski race in Alta Badia. They formed a beautiful pen friendship, and both thought that the distance would make things too complicated. Over time, this friendship blossomed into love. For almost five years, they maintained a long-distance relationship. It was often difficult—both were working a lot, and neither was ready to give up their homes. For Barbara, the Penzinghof was LIFE. She couldn’t imagine anything being more important.

In April 2011, she decided to help out at the Örtlerhof for the summer. She received a lot of support from her family and her home at the Penzinghof, without which it wouldn’t have been possible. Barbara worked summers in Dorf Tirol and winters in Oberndorf near Kitzbühel. In the winter of 2012, she became pregnant, and in August 2013, Charlotte Ladurner was born in Merano. In 2015, they decided to live together in South Tyrol. On April 21, 2017, their second daughter, Klara, was born. The little ones completely changed their world. On November 11, 2017, they tied the knot. It was a wonderful decision, and they are very happy to have taken this step "together."

About Us

• Georg (14/10/1972) is responsible for farming, the wine cellar, and all housework during the day. He is also a passionate innkeeper, helping out in the service, the office, and wherever needed.
• Barbara (22/02/1979) is truly an innkeeper at heart. She loves organizing and is always there to help and advise guests. She enjoys spending time with Lotte, Klara, and the family.
• Charlotte (16/08/2013) is helpful, thoughtful, and kind-hearted.
• Klara (21/04/2017) is energetic, full of life, and joyful.

Now, we are on our own. Grandma Thekla Kofler (31/07/1953) passed away on June 15, 2022, and Grandpa Ignaz Ladurner (28/11/1947) on May 31, 2021. We are deeply saddened by their passing. We had wonderful times together, and we miss them greatly.

We are a big and diverse family. Each of us has our strengths, and these strengths come together beautifully. The whole family works together, and it's wonderful. Although some kilometers may separate us, we are very close at heart!
